Mohan Gadre is a Chartered Accountant associated with the Kohinoor Group for the past 22 years. He initially joined Kohinoor Group as a consultant and later on full-time basis. Presently, he is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Kohinoor Group. His strong financial and business acumen has always stood Kohinoor in good stead, helping Kohinoor to expand and grow in all its diverse business sectors.

VP HR and Admin, Kohinoor Group

Major General Yash N Sharma joined Kohinoor after thirty years of extensive and enriching experience with the Indian Army. He joined the Indian Army in 1973 while he was studying in B. Sc. 2nd year at St Stephens College, Delhi University. During his service,he also acquired an M. Sc.Degree in Defence Studies from Madras University and an M. Phil. Degree from Devi AhilyaBai University, Indore.Hisdiverse, yet detailed, experience has helped him build up his professional competence as a well-rounded leader.

Major General Yash N Sharma joined Kohinoor Group as Vice President HR & Admin in August 2011. He has initiated the process of transformation of HR which has had very positive impact on the work environment and development of people. He has codified the Kohinoor Values and made the Group culture more vibrant. Most importantly the HR team has created a credible image amongst the people.

Over the two years that he has been with Kohinoor Group, he has delivered results with integrity and built relationships of trust which has resulted in bringing in positive changes and shaping the organization.

SFP, Chief Facilities Officer, Kohinoor Group

John Ringness brings a wealth of Facilities Management (FM) experience spanning 30 years to his role as Chief Facilities Officer for Kohinoor Group introducing world class Facility Management Practices to the Kohinoor Group family by focusing on sustainability, effective service delivery and cost efficiency, as well as, helping raise the profile and professionalism of Facility Management within Mumbai and ‘beyond’ through education, trade associations, and other personal mentoring.
 
John has also brought to Kohinoor his invaluable experience and knowledge, having worked and delivered lectures in various parts of the world. He is recognized and admired for his knowledge of the FM, real estate business by his contemporaries and is an expert in real estate and finance matters. Due to his dedication, influence and expertise, John has frequent requests to moderate and/or participate in expert panel discussions on Facility Management related topics.
 
John is also the President and CEO of NEXT Facility Management Services, Inc. (NEXT FMS incorporated 2008), a Canadian corporation providing innovative Facility Management (FM) consulting and training services. His numerous specializations in various business sectors include Integrated Townships, Corporate Offices, Academic, Healthcare, Retirement Facilities, and Non-Profit organizations.
 
John persistently develops his own FM knowledge and maintains his professional and exceptional standards through education and numerous other FM related training programs. In addition, he collaborates with colleagues through various professional associations and serves in the dual role of Board director (President-Elect) Facility Management Consultants Council (FMCC represents almost 400 Facility Management consultants in nearly 60 nations) and Director of Innovation. John is a professional member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA represents over 22,000 worldwide members), UK’s BIFM, and was recently asked to join a global task force focusing on ‘FM in the Cities.’

General Manager - Infromation & Resource Development, Kohinoor Group

Makarand Vagaskar joined the Kohinoor Group in September, 2012 as General Manager – Information Resource Development and is responsible for overseeing the Group IT, Corporate Communications and Design Cell. In his capacity as the head of IT, his main role is to align the IT strategy of the group to the business strategy, and support the group’s core vision through information resource planning. His additional mandate is to enhance the brand development of the group and facilitate communications with internal stakeholders.

He has done his Bachelors in Engineering (Electrical, 1986) from Victoria Jubilee Technological Institute and his Masters in Management Studies (Operations Research, 1990) from Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Mumbai.

With 25 years of experience in IT, ERP and Brand Building, he is all set to lend a new dimension to the Kohinoor Group.

Besides IT, Makarand is interested in local and global cuisine and dabbles in cooking exotic dishes during his spare time. His hobbies include listening to music, reading light fiction and solving crossword puzzles.

Makarand has been associated with IT for more than 25 years in various capacities. He started his career with Mastek, a software startup back in 1986. Later on he moved to VIP Industries Ltd. as the head of IT for one of their manufacturing plants. Under his leadership, the location consolidated their IT resources both in terms of infrastructure as well as their application portfolio. An entire home-grown ERP suite encompassing all the business processes of the plant was conceptualized, designed and implemented during his association with the plant. In VIP Industries, he was also looking after the functional portfolios of Production Planning, Stores, Despatch and All India Distribution of their moulded furniture division. He worked in international software projects in the capacity of Technical Architect leading a team of international software resources on a Retail Banking application for two years. Later, he moved on to Pune in 2006, to head the operations of a software start-up where his overall responsibility was to provide support to business development and to ensure technology delivery and in-house capacity building. The overseas business for application development was consolidated during his tenure and it became the major revenue earning line of business for the organization. With his initiative, the start-up also branched into providing corporate communications and brand outreach strategies to its customers.

Makarand is a strong supporter of the not-for-profit sector involved in community oriented projects and has developed many productivity enhancing back-office applications for organisations at a no-cost basis. He has also been involved in software product development targeted towards clinical practitioners of ophthalmology.


Deepak LadeDeepak Lade

General Manager - Finance, Kohinoor Group

Mr Deepak Lade is a Chartered Accountant and has been a part of Kohinoor Group for the last 10 years. He joined the company as Manager – Finance and rose to the position of General Manager – Finance. He has obtained a varied experience working with the Kohinoor Group. He became a Practicing Chartered Accountant after securing his degree in the year 1995. He has also worked with several organizations on financial assignments which include Financial Controller for a Group of Companies based in Mumbai and Jaipur engaged in the business of construction and hospitality. His knowledge about finance is well acknowledged and referred to by his colleagues and friends. His interest lies in keeping himself updated with the ever changing financial market.


Ravindra DalviRavindra Dalvi

General Manager - Legal, Kohinoor Group

Mr Ravindra Dalvi holds the position of General Manager – Legal in the Kohinoor Group. He joined the group in 2008 as Senior Manager - Legal and thereafter was promoted to the position of General Manger. Mr Dalvi is in charge of the legal affairs and documentation for the Group and its verticals. He also plays the role of an advisor in legal affairs to all the verticals of the Group. He represents the organization for resolution of legal cases under various Acts / Rules. He liaison with Government Officials and attending matters related to Arbitration, Corporate Laws, Banking Laws and Property Laws. He also manages/coordinates with the team of lawyers both in-house and external to ensure effective delivery and timely resolution of legal matters.

Prior to joining Kohinoor, he had been designated as the Senior Manager – Legal at SICOM LIMITED (State Industrial and Investment Corporation of Maharashtra Limited) for fourteen years and an Assistant Advocate for five years with Gabriel Pillai & Co. Advocates & Solicitors.


Raman TemkarRaman Temkar

General Manager – Finance and Taxation, Kohinoor Group

Mr Raman R Temkar is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He received his B. Com degree from Bombay University in 1987.
 
Mr Temkar is an eminent Chartered Accountant and has over Twenty Two years of experience in Direct and Indirect Taxes, Finance and Corporate Accounting matters. He has been associated with the Kohinoor Group for over 7 years, starting as a Senior Manager finally General Manager in the year 2012.

He has been largely responsible for Corporate Tax planning, Direct and Indirect Tax Compliance, Assessments and in addition he his holding independent charge of Power Division.
 
Prior to joining Kohinoor Group, he has worked with Premier Ltd engaged in the business of   Engineering and Automobiles, as Assistant General Manager (Finance & Taxation) for a period of 13 years. Area of work  included,  Capital  Projects Accounting, Fixed Assets Accounting  and Capitalization, Business Restructuring, Spin off, Direct and Indirect Taxes, Corporate Tax planning, Employee  Taxation  etc
 
Prior to joining Premier Ltd worked with M/s. A F Fergusson & Co. Chartered Accountants a leading and one of the Top five Chartered Accountants firm, as Assistant Manager (Audit) for a period of 2 years.  He was responsible for conducting Statutory Audits / Tax Audits of Multinational Companies, Engineering Companies, Pharmaceuticals Companies.

Chief Academic Advisor - Kohinoor Education Trust

Dr. Vijay Khole, former Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, started his career as an Entomologist in Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute, Phaltan. He then moved on to become a lecturer in the Mumbai University and reached the peak of the ladder of hierarchy from there, ultimately holding the position of Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University. Dr. Khole is M.Sc. in Zoology and Ph.D in Biophysics. He has several Recognitions and awards such as Best Educationist, Shikshan Ratna, to his credit. He was awarded the Officer of the Order of Academic Palms by the Prime Minister of the French Republic. He has held various positions, such as Director and Registrar in the University, and has also been an in-charge Deputy Secretary in Department of Higher and Technical Education in the Mantralaya in Mumbai.

CA Sunil G Karve has earned himself the title of the ‘Silent Revolutionary’ in the field of education. Rightly so, since he’s never spoken about his achievements. He’s always lived and worked by his own rules.

“Karve Sir”, as he’s fondly called by his students, is a Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and LLB with a razor sharp mind. Recipient of the prestigious “Yashashree Award’ conferred by Maharashtra Times for outstanding contribution in the field of education, Mr. Karve has shaped the careers – and lives – of all the students who have been with him.

After his graduation in Science from Mumbai University and post-graduation in Management Studies, Mr. Ghag has accumulated 20 years of rich cross functional experience. After working for almost 13 years in the Pharmaceutical, Chemical and FMCG industries, he moved into the Education Services sector. Vocational Education has become his passion in the last seven years, and he has had the opportunity to be associated with all aspects of the Education Services business, right from Sales and Marketing to Operations Planning and Management. He was initially associated with marketing for US and Canadian Universities and with setting up the Navi Mumbai learning centre and operations for a private Indian University. He then worked for a start-up Vocational Education institute for a short period before taking over the operational reins of Joshi’s Kohinoor Technical Institute (JKTI) about three years ago.

He feels proud of the contribution he has been able to make towards the development of Technical and Vocational Educational in India as a result of his association with JKTI. The education imparted at JKTI provides an invaluable opportunity to students for building their careers in the technical and vocational sectors, uplifting their family status. The motivation for socially relevant work is deep rooted in him and running the operations of a large network of centres such as those at JKTI enables him to put into practice team oriented leadership which he has cultivated through participation in team sports like Hockey, which he played at the University level. He is an ardent lover of semi-classical and classical music and follows Marathi theatre very closely. He has been devoting time regularly for the activities like Education, Training and Medical Camps, and travels through the villages of Thane District of Maharashtra in connection with NGO tribal welfare projects.

Dr Bigyan Verma is a post graduate in Commerce and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He has done his PhD in Corporate Finance.

Dr Verma started his career as Faculty at XLRI Jamshedpur and then moved on to join an investment banking firm in Mumbai. He subsequently joined a financial services consulting firm before coming on board at Kohinoor Business School, Khandala. He has been associated with Kohinoor Group since the last 9 ½ years. Dr Verma has demonstrated academic and administrative excellence in conceptualising and establishing a new business school in Khandala. He has also been involved with various other group activities for realising the common vision and mission of the organisation. Dr Verma has also authored a book on International Finance.

Principal - Kohinoor International School

Dr. (Mrs.) Veena Shrivastava, Principal, Kohinoor International School, has been in the field of K-12 education for the past 23 years. She has worked in well-known schools affiliated to different boards, namely IGCSE, ICSE, CBSE and the Maharashtra State Board. For the last 7 years, she has held the position of a school Principal. Her experience includes running one of the oldest residential schools in western India as Principal.

Dr. (Mrs.) Shrivastava has done her Doctorate in English Literature where the topic of her thesis was 'The Treatment of Child Psychology in the poetry of Rabindranath Tagore'. She did her M.A. in Psychology and English, and also has B.Ed. and L.L.B. degrees to her credit. A Diploma in German Language from Max Mueller Bhavan completes the impressive list of her educational qualifications. She has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Education Department of the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nasik for 3 years.

While professionally and educationally Dr. (Mrs.) Shrivastava is an educationist, a clinical psychologist and a lawyer, by virtue of her interests and hobbies, she is also a poetess, a lyricist, a creative writer and a painter. She writes in English and Hindi and has so far published two editions of her poetry collection titled 'Kshan Bhangur'. She has translated the renowned writer Robin Sharma's internationally acclaimed book 'Who Will Cry When You Die' in Hindi under the title 'Kaun Royega Aapki Mrityu Par'.

Dr. (Mrs.) Shrivastava believes in the adage "the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" and feels that on joining Kohinoor International School, she has just taken that important step.

Program Head - Kohinoor College of Paramedical Sciences

Sonal Satelkar has been associated with Kohinoor Group for the past 15 years. She ascended from the position of Manager-Legal to Corporate HR Manager, then Senior Manager-Corporate HR and today is the Dy GM Business Development as Program Head for Kohinoor College of Paramedical Sciences. In her tenure with the company she has been instrumental in establishing and setting up the Corporate Human Resource department and HR department for the Kohinoor Real Estate Division. She has introduced the Performance Management System across the group and systems for IR audits internally within the company. She has played a major role in setting up Kohinoor College of Paramedical Sciences.

In addition, she has a keen interest in teaching and has delivered lectures for graduate and post graduate students of commerce and management. She has been a panel member for discussion in several forums and worked as a guide for undergraduate management students at University level.

mukund kamatMukund Y. Kamat

Vice President (Hotels Division)

Mukund Kamat has done his graduation in Science from Karnataka University.

He started his career with Taj Hotels in 1978 and worked in various Taj properties like Taj Mahal (Mumbai), Taj President (Mumbai) and Taj Residency (Nashik). He underwent various management training courses during his stint at Taj Group viz., Train the Trainer, Seven Habits of Highly Successful People and Managerial Grid.

He joined Kohinoor Group in 2000 after working with Taj for 22 years. After working briefly at The Plaza Hotel in Nashik, (managed by Kohinoor Group), he took over as General Manager Kohinoor Continental in 2002. Since 2007 he is working as Vice President of the Hotels Division of Kohinoor Group, looking after three hotels and a banquet hall – Kohinoor Continental, Mumbai, Kohinoor Elite, Mumbai, Kohinoor Asiana in Chennai and Kohinoor Hall at Prabhadevi, Mumbai.

He has also done a course in Revenue Management through IIM, Ahmedabad.


Puneet MahajanPuneet Mahajan

General Manager - Hotel Kohinoor Continental

Mr Puneet Mahajan is a Post Graduate Diploma holder in hotel management from IHM Mumbai with over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry in India and abroad.

He is presently General Manager, Kohinoor Continental, Mumbai.

He has extensive experience in planning, supervising and managing the entire operations including infrastructure development and resource planning with proven track record of increasing revenues and streamlining workflow.
Adept at developing procedures, service standards and operational policies, planning and implementing effective control measures to reduce running costs of the unit.

He started his career with The Leela Kempinski, Mumbai, in 1991 and has worked for properties like The Orchid, Mumbai, Quality Inn The Meadows, Aurangabad, Best Western Penninsula, Dubai and the Tunga Group of Hotels, Mumbai.

He has been pre and post opening General Manager of properties like Kohinoor Elite-Mumbai, United 21 and Satkar Residency, Thane.
During his tenure, he has undergone various management training courses like Train the Trainer, Managerial Grid, Management Development Program, Balanced Score Card and The Bullet Proof Managers Program from Crestcom, USA.


Sumant PradhanSumant Kumar Pradhan

General Manager - Kohinoor Elite

Sumant Kumar Pradhan is the General Manager of Kohinoor Elite. He has done his hotel management from International Institute of Advanced studies, Siliguri, West Bengal. He started his career with Majorda Beach Resort, Goa as a Hotel Operational Trainee in 1999 and then joined Renaissance Mumbai Hotel and Convention Centre. He joined Goldfinch Hotels in 2010 as General Manager. Mr Pradhan became a part of the Kohinoor Group in November 2011 as a Resident Manager with Kohinoor Continental. In 2012 he was elevated as the General Manager of Kohinoor Elite, currently shouldering his duties of running smooth the day to day operation of the hotel. Maintaining repeat business and meeting budgets are his core jobs while taking care of hundred percent guest satisfactions.

Vice President - Kohinoor City Project

Atul Modak is a born leader and comes with 15 years of post-qualification experience. He is a Chartered Accountant and has also done his Masters in Marketing Management from the renowned and reputed Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. He has varied experience in the fields of taxation, accounting, banking and finance, and marketing of automobiles.

Joining the Kohinoor Group in the year 2000, he simultaneously handled the marketing for Kohinoor Real Estate, and a little later, two institutes of Kohinoor Education in Khandala – Kohinoor IMI School of Hospitality Management and Kohinoor Business School.

Shortly afterwards, he took over as the full-fledged Head of Kohinoor’s mega project called Kohinoor City, an integrated township project. He has successfully taken the business to a completely new level, proven by the sale of an area over 15 lakh square feet to reputed patrons including American School of Bombay (ASB), Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), The Clearing Corporation of India Ltd (CCIL), National Stock Exchange (NSE), and Essel Infraprojects Ltd. He has managed critical issues during tough times and has consistently proven his successful people-management skills. Leadership, brilliance, untiring zest for excellence and a down-to-earth nature are words that best define him.

Vice President (Constructions) - KPCPL

Bharat Ishi, presently Vice President (Constructions) of the real estate arm of Kohinoor Group, is a Civil Engineering Graduate from the prestigious VJTI engineering institute in Mumbai. Joining the Kohinoor Group in August 2008, he brought over 21 years of valuable work experience in diverse areas of the Construction and Real Estate Industries along with him.

Some of his noteworthy achievements at Kohinoor City include - construction of a Commercial Complex of about 15 lakh sq ft. in Kohinoor City, constructing and providing required civil infrastructure for the Kohinoor Hospital building, a 175-bed multispecialty hospital, within a record 25 months from the initial breaking of ground. The Kohinoor Hospital building has the unique distinction of being Asia’s first and the world’s second LEED Platinum Rated Green Hospital building. Other achievements include construction and timely handing over of the Kohinoor City residential complex (Phase I) of around 7 lakh sq ft., construction of the 100-room 3-Star Kohinoor Elite Hotel in just 15 months, a unique business budget hotel and setting up an Educational Complex of around 3.5 lakh sq. ft.

A state-of-the-art auditorium, a significant part of the complex, will soon be completed under his dynamic leadership. Simultaneously, the construction of Phase III of the Kohinoor City residential complex, of around 6 lakh sq ft, is going on in full swing at present.

He has brought to Kohinoor his rich prior work experience as Head, Planning Division of Ackruti City and Chief Engineer of the University of Mumbai, having carried out notable developments in construction and infrastructure. He has won several awards from Mumbai University for his exemplary work. He is a prominent member of the team that won the UNESCO award for the restoration of the Convocation Hall, a Grade I Heritage Structure. He has also worked with the real estate division of Mukand Ltd and has completed Mass Housing Projects for CIDCO with its Construction Management Firm.


Sainath RajyadhyakshaSainath Rajadhyaksha

Vice President - Regulatory Affairs, KPCPL

Mr Sainath Rajadhyaksha is a Chartered Engineer MIE (Member of Institute of Engineers, India) and became a part of the Kohinoor Group in the year 2007. He looks after the acquisition of property after considering all feasibility aspects. He plays the role of a communicator with the consultants and the architects. Mr Rajadhyaksha is in charge of the preparing plans for project and obtaining approvals. He deals with all the political and socio-economic issues that arise.

Mr Rajadhyaksha has a prior experience of 23 years working as Assistant Engineer with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. During his tenure with Municipal Corporation he has undertaken major projects like, construction of Master balancing reservoir, construction of pre-lagoon treatment plants for sewage projects, widening, deepening and beautification of Mithi River.

Prior to this, he has worked with the Maharashtra Water Supply Sewage project for a year. He holds memberships of esteemed organizations like PETA, National Safety Council and Water Resource Society of India.


sudeshSudesh Bhelekar

Vice President - MEP KPCPL

Sudesh Bhelekar believes in getting things done and driving results, through collaboration, partnership and relationship. He is the Vice President–MEP for the Real Estate division of Kohinoor. With an enthusiastic and genuinely friendly attitude, he radiates a sincere passion for delivering value and benefits to his customers. On completion of graduation in Mechanical Engineering, from the Mumbai University, he spent six years with Blue Star. Starting his career from the ground root level of Junior Engineer, he rose to senior engineer level, and further had the opportunity to enhance his skill in the Service industry in the Gulf for 15 years. This life changing decision gave him the opportunity to venture into the field of MEP (Mechanical – Electrical & Plumbing, and the Fire Fighting service industry). In these 15 years, his career quickly escalated to the executive level.

Even in Kohinoor, he quickly rose to the position of Vice President. His contribution to development of the MEP division, his ‘go all out’ attitude and exemplary performance, have all contributed extraordinarily to express completion of Kohinoor’s projects. He is also an expert of LEED certification parameters and has been instrumental in procuring LEED certification for Kohinoor’s projects.

All throughout, he has repeatedly proved his ability to lead through diverse and challenging situations, and has a track record of accomplishments that include project turnaround from scratch into fast-track completion.


Along the way he has opened multiple luxury hotels, developed food and beverage concepts, operationalized India’s first shopping mall, planned and marketed real estate townships, while also setting up educational institutions and theme parks.

He has seen development and investment models across these verticals evolve and morph over the years and has been an integral part of the change himself.


Healthcare

rajeevDr. Rajeev Boudhankar

Vice President - Kohinoor Hospital

Over 24 years of healthcare experience in Hospitals & Health Systems management, major period being in “operations”. Involved in two tertiary care hospital projects from the planning stage (drawing board) to operationalization. Involved in restarting one hospital after major natural disaster to full operationalization. Worked as a Consultant in a major Hospital management Consultancy Company. As a Consultant, he was responsible for planning and operationalization of one more tertiary care hospital and was a part of Core team for developing a hospital information system software for Indian and Foreign Markets. Was Consultant forming part of core team in setting up Public Health Program in association with an International Agency and State Government.

Presently, Vice-President of Kohinoor Hospitals and healthcare vertical of Kohinoor Group, Dr Boudhankar is a highly qualified medical professional. He has published many research papers, won several professional honours and is a member on the board of a number of reputed bodies.

Arun Khetan is a chartered Accountant with 24 plus years of experience & achievements in manufacturing, media, education and franchising industries. In the preceding 12 years of his career, he has expertise in education, vocational and franchising industry by innovating, ideating, conceptualizing and developing the entire eco-system and has to his credit set–up approximately 1200 plus educational institutions / franchisees across India and abroad as well as successfully rolled out number of brands and entrepreneurial models.

In his career he has steered his way up the ladder managing key positions with premium corporates. With strong entrepreneurial skills he has the laurels of conceptualizing brands which have created synonyms mark with the domain in the global markets. Embarking his creation with the Preschool and Childcare segment with brands like KIDZEE, KIDZCARE, ROOTS TO WINGS (Now Little Millennium), I PLAY I LEARN, further foraying in formal schooling brand KIDZEE HIGH (Now Mount Litera Zee Schools) and formatted youth education brand viz Zee Institute of Media Arts (ZIMA), The Scholars Hub and the revival of Zee Institute of Creative Arts (ZICA) are renowned in the domestic markets. During his tenure KIDZEE has won the Best Franchisors Award in the preschool category for four consecutive years and ROOTS TO WINGS was adjudged as the "Emerging Franchisor of the Year 2008" award at the Annual Franchise Awards.
